Fox News Magazine, a leading women’s lifestyle publication affiliated with Fox News, recently ran a story about the benefits beer can have on hair, and they quoted New England Center for Hair Restoration’s Dr. Ryan Welter in the piece.

“Because beer is rich in proteins and vitamins, through the natural barley and hops, it does contain nutrients for helping to develop healthy hair,” Dr. Welter told the publication.

Earlier this week, we ran a blog about beer’s benefits for hair that has already grown. Dr. Welter elaborated on the idea in Fox News Magazine.

“Many people have thus seen the benefits of fuller, thicker and more bodied hair through the use of a beer rinse,” he said. “However, it’s not acting on growing hairs, but rather existing ones. There is no evidence beer can help hair grow.”
